Blossom Valley Beagle Club Constitution
ARTICLE I. NAME:
The name of this organization shall be Blossom Valley Beagle Club.
ARTICLE II. PURPOSE:
The objectives of this Club shall be:
1. To bring together persons owning or interested in Beagles.
2. To encourage the breeding of better Beagles through conformation shows and popularizing the standard as adopted by the American Kennel Club.
3. To promote a high standard of sportsmanship in all types of competition
ARTICLE III. MEMBERSHIP:
Regular membership requires that the applicant shall be interested in the Club’s objectives, and be not less than eighteen (18) years of age, and be in good standing with the American Kennel Club.
ARTICLE IV. OFFICERS:
The elected officers of the Club shall be a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, and a Treasurer.
The elected officers, together with the Chairpersons of the standing committees and the President of the preceding term, shall constitute the Board of Directors.
ARTICLE V. MEETINGS:
There shall be an Annual Meeting and at least two Regular Meetings.
ARTICLE VI. AMENDMENTS:
This Constitution may be amended at any regular meeting by a two-thirds majority of votes cast, provide that the amendment to be voted upon has been submitted in writing to each member of the Club at least fifteen (15) days before the date of voting.
ARTICLE VII. DISSOLUTIONS:
This Club may be dissolved at any time upon the written consent of two-thirds of the regular members present, provided that notice of such intent shall been submitted in writing to each member of the Club at least fifteen (15) days before the date of such meeting.
After payment of debts and liabilities of the Club, its assets and properties shall be equally distributed amongst the them remaining regular members, or as a quorum of the membership agrees to dispose of them.
